Mes vacances 2006

I took a couple of weeks off in May 06 to do a spot of road biking. I wanted to see if it is really that hard (Yes, it is) and to do some sight seeing in France (jolly big country, you know). So I cycled mostly in the Vercors with with Phil from Gastrobiking (he is part mountain goat, part homing pigeon and a damn fine host) with a wee bit of Italy (watching the Giro) and then some Provencal sunshine. I'm afraid there follow some photos of men in lycra. You've been warned.

Imagine what amazing feat of engineering it took to hack that road out of the rock. Now imagine how knackered I was cycling up it.
